Chatroom has an interesting plot of the manipulation of four vulnerable Teens.
The film conveys how teens could see the chatroom that they have joined and shows this by featuring them in a Run down hotel full of doors Representing each different internet chatroom..
One room,in particular called ''Chelsea teens!'' was created by one disturbed teen called William (Aaron Johnson) He uses this room to lure four other people into his manipulative mind.
At first William seems a caring character so each member shares their stories on why they hate their life,William see's that they listen to his advise and uses this to his advantage to maniuplate them for his own sick and twisted games.
This film was a nice surprise, its different to other films i have seen and i fully enjoyed it although i was intruiged as to Why William was so messed up in the head and was hoping that part of the film would focus on his past, unfortunately it didn't but the film was still enjoyable.
For fans of the man who directed it Hideo Nakata,it may be a disappointment to them as it features no element of horror unlike his previous film The ring.
I thought the casting of The lead character of william was slightly decieving as the actor who played him (Aaron Johnson) was a previous heartthrob in the film 'Angus thongs and perfect snogging, and a wannabe Hero in Kick ass.

I found the transformation from innocent to Phsyco slightly decieving although Aaron johnson has pulled it off.
Overall, the film was interesting and a good way of portraying every parents nightmare of their child being caught up in a potentially harmful chatroom.
Rating: ***
